The terms we work on, in plain English.
Last updated: 27 October 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms apply when you buy a service from Prevero Digital (“Prevero”, “we”, “us”), a trading name of James Lancaster, a sole trader based in England. They cover website builds, hosting, Care Plans and related work.
Our services are for businesses, sole traders and organisations, not consumers buying for personal use. Your written quote (by email or otherwise) and these terms together make up our agreement. If they ever conflict, the quote wins.
2. Our services and prices
We currently offer:
- Care Plan: a website build (up to 5 pages) plus hosting, updates, backups and a monthly content-edit allowance, paid monthly.
- Pro Care: a custom build (up to 10 pages) plus everything in the Care Plan, with a larger edit allowance and more support, paid monthly.
- One-Time Website Build: a custom site built once and handed over to run on your own hosting, with no ongoing plan.
What each plan includes is described on our pricing section and confirmed in your quote. We aren't VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices. We may change our published prices, but a change never affects work you've already agreed to. For an ongoing plan, we'll give you at least 30 days' written notice before a price change takes effect, so you can cancel first if you prefer.
3. Getting started: the deposit and starter designs
After an initial call, we confirm the scope and a deposit in writing. The deposit is scaled to the size of the project, and you'll know the exact amount before you pay. Once it's paid, we build three starter designs so you can compare real directions rather than a single mockup.
Our guarantee: if none of the three starter designs is right for you, tell us and you owe nothing further. The deposit covers the work already done on the starter designs and isn't refunded, unless we fail to deliver them.
If you pick one and continue onto a Care Plan or Pro Care, you get a discount on your first two months of the plan (currently 10% on the Care Plan and 20% on Pro Care, as shown on our pricing at the time you sign up).
4. Building your site
Most sites go live in around two weeks once we have your content and your sign-off on the chosen design. Timelines are estimates, not guarantees, and they depend on receiving what we need from you.
You agree to:
- supply the text, images, logos and information the site needs, and check it's accurate;
- only give us material you own or have permission to use. You're responsible for any claim that something you supplied infringes someone else's rights;
- review and respond to drafts within a reasonable time. If a project is left waiting on you for more than 60 days, we may treat it as paused and agree a new timeline with you.
Changes beyond the agreed scope (extra pages, new features, a different design direction after sign-off) may be quoted separately. We'll always tell you before doing chargeable work.
5. Care Plans and Pro Care
Plans are billed monthly in advance and run month to month. There is no long contract. Either of us can cancel with 30 days' written notice (an email is fine).
Content edits are the everyday updates: text changes, swapping images, updating opening hours or prices, adding a team member, publishing a blog post. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of editing time. Unused time doesn't roll over. Larger work, like new page templates or features, is quoted separately.
While you're on a plan, we host your site, keep its software updated, monitor uptime and take regular backups (weekly on the Care Plan, daily on Pro Care). We work to keep your site fast and available, but no host can promise uninterrupted service, and we're not responsible for outages caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as failures at our hosting or domain providers.
6. One-Time Website Builds
The price and payment stages are set out in your quote. Once it's paid in full, we hand the site over ready to run on your own hosting. After handover, hosting, updates and maintenance are your responsibility unless you move onto a Care Plan, which you can do at any time.
7. Payment
Invoices are due within 14 days unless your quote says otherwise. If a payment is late, we'll remind you first. If an invoice stays unpaid for more than 30 days after its due date, we may suspend work or hosting after giving you at least 7 days' written notice. We'll restore it promptly once the account is up to date.
We may charge statutory interest and compensation on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
8. Who owns what
Once you've paid for it in full, the design and content of your website are yours. Your own material (text, photos, logos) always stays yours.
We keep ownership of our own general tools, code libraries and know-how that we use across projects, and we grant you a permanent licence to use them as part of your site. Some components (fonts, frameworks, plugins, stock images) belong to third parties and are used under their own licences.
Your domain name should be registered in your name. If we register one on your behalf, it's held for you and transferred to you on request.
We may show your site in our portfolio and examples. Just ask if you'd rather we didn't.
9. If you leave
If you cancel a plan, we'll help you move your site elsewhere by providing its files and content and helping point your domain at the new host. We do this once all outstanding invoices are paid. Substantial migration work beyond that may be quoted separately. After your plan ends, we may delete our copies of your site and backups after a reasonable period, usually 30 days.
10. Acceptable use
You must not use a site we build or host for anything unlawful, harmful or infringing: for example, malware, spam, or content that breaks the law or someone else's rights. We may take such content down, or suspend hosting, if we reasonably believe this term has been broken, and we'll tell you why.
11. Data protection
If your website collects personal data (for example through a contact form) and we host it, we process that data on your behalf as your processor, following your instructions and UK data protection law. You remain the controller of that data and are responsible for your own privacy notice. We can provide a data processing agreement on request.
How we handle your own details as our client is covered in our privacy notice.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or data. Our total liability to you under or in connection with our agreement is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies is the one in place when you accept your quote. For an ongoing plan, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any significant change.
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
