What happens to your details when you contact us.
This notice covers the forms on this site (the contact form, the quote-request form and the Prevero Voice interest form), the only places it asks you for personal details. It describes what those forms actually do, not a generic template.
Who's responsible for your data
Prevero Digital (“we”, “us”), a trading name of James Lancaster, is the data controller. Contact us about anything in this notice at james.lancaster@preverodigital.com.
What the forms collect
The contact form and the Prevero Voice interest form ask for your name, email address and message. The quote-request form additionally asks for your phone number, business name, which plan you're interested in, a project description, and — optionally — which example sites you liked. We ask for a phone number specifically so we can call you to talk through your project and your starter designs.
How it's actually handled
When you submit a form, your details are sent from this website to our email inbox (james.lancaster@preverodigital.com) using an email delivery service. They aren't saved in a database on the website itself. If that service isn't available, the form instead opens a pre-filled email in your own email application, and nothing is sent until you press send yourself. Either way, your enquiry reaches us as an email and from then on is handled as ordinary business correspondence (see retention, below).
Why we process it, and the legal basis
To respond to your enquiry or quote request and, if you go ahead, to provide the service you've asked about. Our legal basis is legitimate interests — responding to enquiries you've chosen to send us — or, where a contract results, performance of that contract.
The “Ask us anything” box
Questions you type into the “Ask us anything” box on the homepage are sent to this website to find an answer, and may be passed to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write the reply. We don't save them or link them to you, and your IP address is only used briefly to stop the box being misused. Please don't type personal details into it: use the contact form or email us instead.
How long we keep it
Once an enquiry reaches us by email, we keep it for as long as is reasonably needed to handle it and, if it becomes a client relationship, for as long as normal business and accounting records are kept. Ask us to delete a specific email at any time using the contact details above.
Sharing and international transfers
We don't sell or share your details with third parties for marketing. We use a small number of service providers who handle your details only on our behalf: our website host (Vercel), our email provider (Google Workspace, which also sends the website's form emails to us), for the “Ask us anything” box our AI provider (Anthropic). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to or restrict its use, or ask for it in a portable format. Email james.lancaster@preverodigital.com to exercise any of these. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
